Frequently Asked Questions
What is this event?
Aw Hell Yeah Dude (AHYD) is the Saturday house party thrown every RIP. There will be drinks, food, music, beer pong, video games, and most importantly, awesome people.
When does this start and end?
You can arrive any time starting from 9pm. Ending time varies based on activity level but will be no later than 4am.
Do I have to be over 21 to attend?
Yes, unless you obtain permission from an organizer prior to the event. Any permitted exceptions will require an over 21 sponsor and will not be permitted to consume any alcohol. The organizers resent having to be the "fun police", but unfortunately we cannot have the real police showing up.
Can I bring my significant other/friend/coworker?
Absolutely! We love meeting new people, so please feel free to bring a crowd! The organizers trust our invitees to bring similarly chill people.
Are their any rules I should be aware of?
Just a few. Treat the property with care, as the organizers are financially liable for any damages. Do not smoke inside the house. Please stay within the designated areas (ground floor, basement, and yard). Do not go to the second or third floors and do not enter adjoining properties. Follow all rules for the hot tub, as it belongs to the organizers, not the property. Keep noise to a reasonable level, especially when outside, to be respectful to neighboring houses. Do not bring any weapons, including knives of any kind, onto the premises (you may leave these in your car if needed). Please comply with any reasonable requests made by staff members. If you are going to be sick, please do so in a toilet or off of the property (e.g. road). Finally, and most important, please be respectful of others. This is an inclusive event with a zero-tolerance policy for hate and intolerance. If you fail to abide by the rules above, you will be asked to leave and banned from future events.

This event provides outdoor space for those that wish to practice social distancing. Supplies such as cups, plates, and utensils are all single-use and disposable, and all surfaces are cleaned prior to the event. We will provide hand sanitizer at several locations throughout the event.
Can I park at the event?
Yes, there is plenty of street parking available and you may leave your vehicle overnight. This is a safe neighborhood on a no-outlet street. Please do not park in or obstruct any driveways, and do not park along other properties. If you would like an escort to your car, please reach out to a staff member.
What's up with the hot sauce event?
For the past 3 years, RIP has hosted a hot sauce eating side-event styled after the Hot Ones series. This is a for-fun, rather than competitive event, but making it through is a challenge. Hot sauces plus wings or nuggets will be provided and all participants will work their way through 10 hot sauces of increasing spice level. We will be using the season 28 lineup for this event.
How did this start and how many years have you been doing this?
AHYD has occurred at almost every RIP since at least 2016.
What kind of drinks are available?
We will have a full bar with a varied beer, seltzer, cider, and wine selection. The bar is stocked with mid-to-upper shelf liquor, and there will be a list of specialty drinks as well. The beer selection is currently TBD. We will also have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, including water, soda, and gatorade. There will be something for everyone.
What kind of food is available?
There will be typical party food, such as pizza and wings. We'll also have lots of snacks, such as meat & cheese, veggies & dip, and chips/pretzles/popcorn. You are welcome to bring any additions, either for yourself or to share.
